A New IHG Brand – avid™ hotels

Last week, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) named its new midscale hotel brand – avid™ hotels. Our team is excited to already be working on several avid™ projects across the country. Below you will see a couple of renderings from one of these projects that our team recently created.

The brand will appeal to owners through reduced land requirements as it will fit on 1.5 acres with lower estimated construction cost. IHG will only franchise new-build properties and expects the first avid™ hotels project to begin construction in 2018 and open in 2019. Some details on the first generation prototype are given below.

New Build Construction

  • Number of keys: 59-100
  • Total building area: 41,640 Sqft.
  • Total square feet per key: 438 Sqft.
  • Room size: King 220 Sqft.; Queen/Queen 275 Sqft.
  • Room mix: King 48%; Queen/Queen 52%
